 Meet the Doctors Monday - Friday 8am to 3pm, Evening hours by appointment. Pittenger Family Dentistry is a two-office practice with locations in Smyrna and Nipper’s Corner (Brentwood). Here is the story on how we chose the Nashville area as our home. In the early years, Dr. Gina lived in Houston, TX practicing as a children’s dental hygienist. She attended Tyler Jr. College in Tyler, Texas where she received her Associates Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She then moved to Memphis to attend dental school at the University of Tennessee where she graduated in 1994. It is in Memphis where Dr. Gina met Dr. Dale. They got married the day after graduation! Doctor Dale went into the Air Force program and they moved to Hampton, VA, where Dr. Dale worked at the Langley Air Force Base. From there, they moved to Valdosta, GA, to the Moody Air Force Base. While doctor Dale finished his term with the Air Force, Dr. Gina worked in private dental offices seeing children. Next, was a move to Kingsport, TN where they built their first successful practice. After eight years in East Tennessee, they sold the practice and moved to the Nashville area. Dr. Gina worked for two years as an associate at a busy Nashville area pediatric dental practice prior to establishing the Smyrna office. In the meantime, doctor Dale purchased the Brentwood / Nippers-Corner practice. Now they serve patients from both locations in the greater Nashville area. You can find them at both offices for your convenience. Dale and Gina and family live on a farm in Thompson’s Station where they enjoy animals, gardening and lots of on-going house projects. They have two sons, Christopher and Nicholas. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our practice.
